Happy Easter

A little late! A couple little funnies:
-Bastian came home from Sunday School literally shouting Hosanna! the week before Easter
-Bella, Bastian, and Sophie answer the question, "What happened on Easter?" with "Jesus rose again!" That's not so much funny as it is cute.

Fussy Toats

These are coats my aunt got the kids not this past Christmas but the one before. They wore them a lot that year but in the last year, they haven't really wanted to wear them (though they still fit well enough. Ignore their sweaters hanging out .... they're just long!). Well, one day we tried to get the girls to wear them--no, Mommy got them to try to wear them--to no avail. I tried manipulating them into it, telling them Daddy would be so happy. Nada. So Daddy stepped in an boy did he schmooze. So much, in fact, that little Sophie decided she wanted to wear her fussy toat. And that's the story of these pictures!

Do You Hear What I Hear?

This was heard from the basement this a.m. The man-child spoke it:

Bastian: Adgeeanna??!!!

A Common Thief

He's got the costume.

He's got the loot. Caught. Red-handed. (I better not say that or it might literally happen! The red-handed part anyway!!)

More Tales of Cuteness

My best friend, Barbara, has this amazing ability of remembering ALL of the cute things her kids say. And she blogs them, too. Well, I love the things my kids say, only, by the time I go to blog them, I forget. I need to whip out my digital voice recorder again. And now, better than having me talking into it, I can record my little people saying all these great little nuggets of wisdom and hilarity!!

So here's one I do remember. I wouldn't necessarily categorize it in the wisdom or hilarity category, but I liked it nonetheless. We don't have the t.v. on a lot in our house. We have built-in playmates and rarely have a need for additional entertainment. But we'll put a cooking channel on from time to time. I make that sound like it doesn't happen often. Apparently it happens often enough that my kids are starting to recognize the stars of Food Network. Here's a conversation Bella and I had recently while Paula Deen's show was on:

Bella: It's Paula.
Mommy: It is Paula! Hi Paula!!
(In the meantime, Paula goes to commercial break.)
Bella: Where Paula go?
Mommy: She'll be back in a couple minutes.
(Paula returns)
Bella: Welcome back, Paula.

OOH, I want to just squeeze her when she says very adult things like that. HOW CUTE IS THAT????!!!!!

What I Learned From This Series of Pictures

Daddy teaches us to help each other.
Daddy feeds us nutritional food when Mommy's not around...most of the time.

Daddy teaches us important concepts like "all gone."

My children are very happy to have Daddy at home and all to themselves.
My children learn good skills to help train them to be independent like pouring milk.

But that's not all. I also learned that Daddy teaches them this:

I guess you take the good with the bad, eh?? :-)

This Just In

Mommy: Bell, do you want any more noodles?
Bella: No, I do not want any more of that.

So proper.
So verbose.
Such a big girl.
So sad.

Imagine Having 2 Nurses

This was a really cute little scene. Bastian was crying and crying, almost inconsolably. I say almost because 2 of the best little nurses in town rushed to his care. Sophie rubbed his belly and Bella rubbed his head. And I tell you, 3o minutes of crying and cares just melted away for that little boy ;-)

Take a Picture!

They're on to us! They are figuring out the things we find cute enough to preserve in photograph form!! On this particular day, I found Bell and Soph sitting together in their matching shirts on this chair. And when I came in and told them how cute they were, Bell responded with, "take a picture, Mommy!" We've been found out!!

Lie Still

Go to sleep little Bastian
And don't make a sound.
There's work to be done
When the day rolls around.
'Tis Jesus to keep you, and
always obey;
Don't ever wander or go astray.
Though the wind may blow,
Jesus loves you so.
Lie still little Bastian, lie still.
Though the wind may blow,
Jesus loves you so.
Lie still little Bastian, lie still.
