Some more cutable quotes

When looking at a Pottery Barn Kids catalog with mommy this weekend, she promptly announced the following, "Ooohh, I liiiiike it." Guard your credit cards!!

Daddy calls Sebastian Monkey or Monk-Monk and recently Bastian started saying "Monk Monk." I wonder if he's going to go around calling other people that?!

In the mornings when I get her out of her crib, Sophie usually sings a little song that goes something like this, "Daddy, are you? Daddy, are you? Daddy, are you?" Yesterday, she went to the closed bathroom door and said, "Knock, knock, knock." I was waiting for the "open sesame." I guess there's time for that!

The Hunter or the Hunted?

Sophie, look at Mommy.

Please, Soph. Mommy wants to take your picture.

Better luck next time. Or not.

Cutable quotes

-In the morning, the kids will ask, "Daddy, 'reare you?"
-"Sad baby?" This is something Bella will ask when she wants to see the picture of Sebastian at a few days old crying during his sponge bath.
-"Bashy doin'? Daddy doing'? Mommy doin'?" A new line of questioning Bella and occasionally Sophie will engage in when they want to know what's going on!

Kids Say the Darndest Things

Bella this a.m. when I was playing with Sebastian, "Momma silly?"
Sophie yesterday when she heard Bella and Bastian in the other room screaming, "No no meamin'."
Bastian this a.m. when his milk spilled a few drips, "Uh oh, big mess." Though like any true boy, usually he's proud of his big messes.

Nana and the Wanderers

Nana, care to start another musical group? I think I've come up with the perfect name!

twirling

Practicing for Everest

Bastian climbed his way up there, and Sophie wanted to follow. They scale the kitchen chairs to sit on the table, Bella has climbed out of her crib once, they climb the couch and then the back cushions on it. You name it and they climb it.

Maybe she wanted the red pair

fun things to do on family vacation

Bella tends to like to take slides on her tummy so she can control her speed. She got brave and tried it sitting down, but she needed/wanted a little help from Daddy.

I think she's contemplating whether it was all worth it!

More slide fun

How a Thief is Born

We read an article this weekend about how some men stole 4 priceless paintings from a gallery/museum in Nice, France recently. The burglary lasted 5 minutes total. And it just boggles the mind how someone, or in this case, a few someones could pull that off. Not that I'm in awe. Just amazed that it could actually happen. I think, however, I've stumbled on their secret.

What I love about the next set of shots is that I don't even need any captions. His face says it all! It's almost like watching a silent movie. Enjoy!!

Oh my

I went in the kids' room today to get them up for the day. By get them up I simply mean that they had been up for a half hour already talking and calling out for me. Bella had a stinky diaper, so I proceeded to change her. As I opened her diaper this is what she said to me with a very wrinkled nose, "Oh my. Stinky, stinky." It was so cute!!

How our family vacation started

A little crazy

A little sleepy but willing to play along.

A wee bit cranky.

What started out as real excitement ...

turned into a lot of sleepiness and ....

extreme slap-happiness!

Bella was cool as a cat.

But did wonder at times why a camera attached to a hand was coming at her face so often.

These two decided to hold hands...

for a good long while as a little moral support, I think!

Top 5 Reasons

Why It Ain't Easy Being Me

5. That stupid saying "Girls Rule; Boys Drool." Who came up with that anyway?
4. Girls get more attention. I mean they have to get their hair done and everything.
3. No one seems that scared when they're changing a girl's diaper.
2. I DON'T act like a big baby when I'm sick despite what they tell ya.
1. The girls get to wear your stuff, but you can't wear theirs.

No Fair.

The Outside Adventures of Sebastian and Bella

Digging in the neighbors wood chips ..... again. Sorry Ryan and Andrea!

Going to dig in his own yard.

Pushing the strowa.

I love the hair fountain on her head!

So Big!

Everyone has been telling us how big they look. We agree!!! They've lost their baby tummies and have the stretched out toddler look. They're 21 months old right now, on the doorstep of 2. Hard to believe!!
